FROM CLASSROOM TO ROAD
Factory Five Cobra Roadster MK4
KRHS Student Build
There’s something powerful about watching a pile of parts slowly become a machine.
At Kearsarge Regional High School, students aren’t just studying engineering — they’re building it. Under the leadership of shop and trades instructor Jesse Fenn, this hands-on initiative gives students the opportunity to assemble a fully functioning vehicle from the ground up.
Students measure. Adjust. Problem-solve. Budget. Collaborate. Make mistakes. Fix them. Keep going.
Supported by Ampli5E and a strong network of local nonprofits, businesses, and community members, this project reflects what happens when education moves beyond the classroom and into real tools, real materials, and real responsibility.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $50,000 in cash and in-kind contributions has already been raised.
Those funds have supported major build components, tools, materials, and mentorship.
The kit car project is moving into its final stretch. The remaining funds raised will be used to purchase essential parts that bring the vehicle fully to life — including the engine and transmission.
This isn’t a one-time build. Once completed, the car will be sold, and the proceeds will be reinvested into future builds at KRHS — creating a sustainable, self-perpetuating cycle of hands-on learning.
This is more than a car. It’s confidence, technical skill, exposure to career pathways and students discovering what they’re capable of.
